  Father Returning Home By Dilip Chitre   The poem is based on the idea of man’s estrangement from in the man-made world. This world is full of hurry and worry. Nobody has the time to take interest in others .Especially the senior citizens are neglected in the society. The poem gives us the picture of a sad old man. He travels to work by a local train every day in Mumbai. His isolation is seen in his inability to have dialogue with his family or friends. He feels uneasy in his present. He seeks consolation in the world of the past or in the world of his dreams. ਕਵਿਤਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹੈ. ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਜਲਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ. ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲ ਵੀ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ. ਕਵਿਤਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਉਦਾਸ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ. ਉਹ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਲੋਕਲ ਟ੍ਰੇਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ਉਸਦੀ ਅਲੱਗ -ਥਲੱਗਤਾ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ. ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਚ...

Father Returning Home” -by Dilip Chitre My father travels on the late evening train Standing among silent commuters in the yellow light Suburbs slide past his unseeing eyes His shirt and pants are soggy and his black raincoat Stained with mud and his bag stuffed with books Is falling apart. His eyes dimmed by age fade homeward through the humid monsoon night. Now I can see him getting off the train Like a word dropped from a long sentence. He hurries across the length of the grey platform, Crosses the railway line, enters the lane, His chappals are sticky with mud, but he hurries onward. ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਰੇਲ ਗੱਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪੀਲੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਉਪਨਗਰ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਅਣਦੇਖੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਮੀਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਂਟ ਗਿੱਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਕਾਲਾ ਰੇਨਕੋਟ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਬੈਗ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਟੁੱਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ. ਉਮਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮੱਧਮ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਨਮੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੌਨਸੂਨ ਰਾਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ ਫੇਡ. ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਟ੍ਰੇਨ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲੰਮੇ ਵਾਕ ਤੋਂ ਡ...
