They guide us for right and wrong. Friendship makes our spiritual bonds with friends stronger.

   

'ਆਨ ਫ੍ਰੈਂਡਸ਼ਿਪ' ਖਲੀਲ ਜਿਬਰਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਕਵੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੋਸਤ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਤੋਹਫ਼ਾ ਹਨ। ਦੋਸਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਲਈ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੋਸਤੀ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Stanza

He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.

And he is your board and your fireside.

For you come to him with your hunger, and seek him for peace

In this poem, the poet admires the virtues and advantages of having friends. A friend is a gift of God. He is God's way of answering our needs. We nurture the bond of friendship with love. In return of it we get gratitude. A friend acts like board that provides strong support in all times. He is like a fireside that provides us warmth in our trouble. Our friends our alter-ego. We can open our heart to him. We can share our joys and sorrows with him.

 

ਇਸ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਵੀ ਦੋਸਤ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਇਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਦੋਸਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਤੋਹਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਲਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਦੋਸਤ ਇੱਕ ਬੋਰਡ ਵਾਂਗ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਅੱਗ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਘ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਸਾਡਾ ਬਦਲਾ-ਹਉਮੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਿਲ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਇਹ ਖਲੀਲ ਜਿਬਰਾਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਵੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੋਸਤ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਤੋਹਫ਼ਾ ਹਨ। ਦੋਸਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਲਈ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੋਸਤੀ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਬੰਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਚੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

He is-your field which you sow with low and reap with thanksgiving.

And he is your board and your fireside. . For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.

When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the "nay” in your own mind, nor do you withhold the "ay."

And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.

For love the seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery is not love abut a net cast forth; and only the, unprofitable is caught.

ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਹਾੜ ਕੁਝ ਦੂਰੀ 'ਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਵੀ ਇਸ ਕਥਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸਤ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ?

Ans.Just as a mountain is clearly visible to a man at a distance, similarly the qualities of a friend become evident to us when he is away from us.
