7. The Road not Taken

 

The poem tells us the importance of choice in man's life. A man has to make choice at turn of life. It can make all the difference to his life. Once the poet was travelling alone. He reached a point where the road diverged into two different directions. He was in a fix to decide which road to take. Finally he decided to take the less travelled road. And this choice made all difference.

It can make or mar our life.One wrong choice can mar our life.We are defined by the choices we make.

 

ਇਹ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਰੌਬਰਟ ਫਰੌਸਟ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੋਣ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਹੀ ਚੋਣ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਗਲਤ ਚੋਣ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਵਿਕਲਪਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।



Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveller; long I stood 

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,
