Q. 1. Why was the boy called ‘Sausage’?

Ans. The boy was called ecause he was very fat.

ਮੁੰਡੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੋਟਾ ਸੀ।

Q. 2. Why did the boy not like diving?

Ans. His eyesight was weak. He had to remove his glasses for diving. So he did like diving.

ਉਸਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਗੋਤਾਖੋਰੀ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਐਨਕਾਂ ਉਤਾਰਨੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਗੋਤਾਖੋਰੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਸੀ।

Q. 3. What is duck-diving? How is it taught?

ਬਤਖ਼ ਗੋਤਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ?

Ans. It means to dive into the water like a duck. A brick is thrown into the water and the diver is asked to bring it out.

ਇਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਬਤਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰਨਾ। ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਇੱਟ ਸੁੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਤਾਖੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Q. 4. What happened to Sausage when he tried dick-diving the first time?

Ans. He was very afraid at first time.He faced some problems in water. 

ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ।

Q. 5. Why couldn’t Sausage see inside the water?

Ans. Sausage had weak eyesight. He had to remove his glasses for diving.

ਸੌਸੇਜ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਡਾਈਵਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਐਨਕਾਂ ਉਤਾਰਨੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ।

Q. 6. Why did the water change colours? How did it change colours?

Ans. The water change colours at the depth because of mud.It changed from to blackish.

ਪਾਣੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ 'ਤੇ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੰਗ ਬਦਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਾਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ।

Q. 7. Was Sausage sure that he would not come out alive? Give examples to support your answer?

Ans. He was very afraid. He sure that he would not come out alive. Because he had weak eyesight. 

ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਸੀ।

Q. 8. What did Sausage dig out? Did he know what he had caught hold of when he was inside the water? Why ?

Ans. He dug out an old tin box. He did not know because it was very dark inside.

ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਟੀਨ ਦਾ ਡੱਬਾ ਪੁੱਟਿਆ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਸੀ।

Q. 9. Where did Sausage reach while swimming?

Ans. He reached the other side of the pond.

ਉਹ ਤਲਾਅ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ।

Q. 10 What did Sausage do with the tin-box?

Ans. He cleaned the tin box. He placed it on the mantelpiece. He put his coins in it.

ਉਸਨੇ ਟੀਨ ਦੇ ਡੱਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਮੈਂਟਲਪੀਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
